Shape the Future with Technologies

Shanghai, May5, 2015--- The first 2015 T ongjiHARTING T echnology Innovation Contest unveiling Ceremony was held at Jiren Buiding of T ongji University Jiading Campus. Professor . Chu Zhigang, Secretary of Party Committee, Professor . Lu Zhenggang, Deputy Dean of T ongji University Institute of Railz T ransit and Mr. Edgar-P eter Duening, Managing Director of HARTING Electric, hostedthe ceremony with media guest, HARTING staff and T ongji students. Mr . Edgar-Peter Dueni ng and Professor . Chu announced the opening of the contest. In early 2014, T ongji and HARTING signed MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) of the c ooper a t i on t o r es ea r c h a nd dev el op i n n o v a t i v e a n d a d v a n c e d r a i l w a y t e c h n o l o g i e s . A s a p a r t o f H A R T I N G Scholarship, this contest was organized by T ongji University Institute of Rail T ransit (IRT) and HARTING, aims at inspiring students' creativity and innovation as well as establishing a platform to i n t e g r a t e t h e o r y i n t o practice. The contest opens to all students i n T o n g j i U n i v e r s i t y . H A R T I N G pr ovi des f ul l s u p p o r t i n respect of technology and samples. Prof. Lu introduced this contest bases on T echnology Innovation. Mr . Edgar-Peter Duening also emphasized that the contest establishes a great platform for the students to implement theory into practice. HARTING ishonoured to be the first cooperating enterprise of T ongji University Institute of Rail T ransit (IRT)for such contest.By taking up the scholarship or award, we hope the students are committed to take new challenges and gear up themselves to be technology innovators, which in accordance with one of the HARTING vision We want to shape the future w i t h technologies for PEOPLE. In order to provide a better understanding of HART I NG pr odu c t s a n d t o pr ov i de a commercial platform for students, HARTING invited 8 volunteers from T ongji to attend booth duty on the 14th electronica Shanghai e x h i b i t i o n . T h e v o l u n t e e r s a c t i v e l y participatedthe 3 days fair . After a briefing on company background and product, the volunteers were able to independently explain the running RFID demo to visitors, which implies students have concrete knowledge in rail and transportation and are able to pick-up HARTING's product basic operation theory quickly . Duri ng the exhi bi ti on, Ms. Ci ndy Fung (HARTING Asia HR Manager), Ms. Ada Fung (HARTING Asia Marketing Communications Manager) and Ms. Diana Wang (HARTING China HR Manager) gave warm greetings to volunteers and expressed our emphasis in innovation activities. The participation of fair booth duty inspired students and enabled their further understanding of contest requirement. The volunteers expressed that they will introduce HARTING products to those students who couldn't come to the booth.
